Played some great snooker

In the last few months I have neglected snooker far too much. So to remedy this I have started playing again.

Well the last two times I have played, I compiled some great runs. Last week I ran into the 90's.

But what is better is that I ran my second century today, a 104. 13 reds and 13 blacks. I was in great control, and I was feeling invincible. To hell with the century I thought I was going to get a maximum. Oh well, centuries are pretty good too.

Unfortunately it was in practice so I don't think anybody saw the run, or at least not all of it :( .

For the record, I broke off as I would in a real game, potted a long red and got going from there.

wow a century is a great accomplishment for anyone who is not a pro. i dont play very often at all i used to play in a snooker league once a week a couple of years ago and my highest break was only in the 30's i love playin the game but around here it can be tough to find a someone to play with.

Yah, a tuff game! My highest run was an 87, but that was because some nutty Canadian broke them wide open after another Canadian (Charlie Brown) told him I sucked. The black was tied up, so a lot of the points were on the pink and blue.

He never had much of a chance when he got back to the table.

I've never really been around a snooker table enough to see how good I could get. I did play in Thailand quite a bit, and got to where I was besting the snooker hall's best player in Pitsonaluk, Thailand.

(No, I didn't hang out with John Karr there, you sick puppies...)

Those are my favorite games!:D

That's a pretty good run if you stayed on the pink and blue, just as good as a century as far as I am concened. I have been playing (pool) with an ex-snooker pro and one thing he has told me is that, a run of 20 balls wins the game. you don't need a run a 100, or 147 or 135, you only need 80 points before your opponent will concede. Of course centuries are more gratifying but I am usually fairly happy with anything over 74.

I used to practice on a 12 foot snooker table with Simonis cloth with regulation Centennial pool balls. That did a lot for my stroke back in the day. We also used to play Golf on that table. I wasn't the best, but, I DID run out from the 3 hole once.
