Racks on racks on racks

So I wanted a cheapie to keep in my car on Monday's since I go straight from work to 9-ball. I wanted a low deflection shaft. I heard good things about the players hxt shafts so I got the while cue, delivered for less than the advertisement that pops up on here periodically. It's a 19 oz with a Kamui soft tip.

I've played with it (9-ball since that's its purpose) and surprisingly enough, its not a bad cue. The look I'd give about a 3 out of 10. The wood isn't bad but the "inlays" are not inlays.

The balance is about a 8.5 out of 10. Feels a little front heavy but nothing too terribly bad.

The fit & finish of the parts is an easy 10. No gaps, no sings, nothing to complain about.

The hit is solid and the cue control is amazing. You can bend shape with this thing almost without thinking about it.

Best $100 I've spent!

hey, i couldn't agree more, i had a players HXT SP6, i sell it a few weeks ago, now and i don't know why i did that.. at first i don't have much expectation about this cue as its has very reasonable price.
but after a couple hit, wow, this cue is way over its price.. especially they put kamui for such price.
i don't know about the inlays, because what i had was the one with the rubber grip. but then again, if they put a real inlays in there, the price would be higher..

I hit about 6-8 racks with one on a players sneaky pete cue butt end. It seemed fair in performance (6 of 10) compared to other LD shafts, but the BIG difference is the little price tag.. It's a pretty tough cue to beat for less than a benjamin. I think the cuetec sst shaft w/ an everest tip is it's best competition in the same price range..if you can get past the feel of the fiberglass coating on the shaft.
