i don;t know much about players cues as i do cuetec a shaft on the players cue has a meucci shaft on it and cuetec has sst shafts what is the difference ?

thanks

the sst was grounded due to malfunction and potential loss of life can there be a reason noone knows what it could be but cuetic is the stuff dreams are in the pudding
thanks

It's perfectly clear. The Players cues' shafts have a Meucci shaft on them and a Cuetec shaft has an SST fiberglass shaft on them. Oh, wait, I think I got that wrong. The SST has a Meucci shaft, the Players shaft has a Cuetec...

Never mind.

Cuetec SST shafts are fiberglass over a wood core. The SST shafts have a 15 1/2" pro taper and have Cuetec's Tru-Glide finish. The True-Glide finish is supposed to feel more like wood and is less sticky than Cuetec's original fiberglass finish.

Players cues do not come with a Meucci shaft (only Meucci cues come with a Meucci shaft). Players shafts are made from hard rock maple. They feature a pro taper, and 13 mm Le Pro tip.

I've played with both brands and, If I had to limit myself to one or the other, I'd choose a Players over a Cuetec. The Players just have a nicer hit.

For a guy or gal on a budget, or a newbie, it's hard to beat the value of a Players cue.

You can't go wrong with either of them. Two of the best cues made today. Put a players shaft on a Cuetec and you won't believe the hit. ;)

It'll play like a ton of freight trains...

Nice idea, but I don't think any other shaft will fit on a Cuetec...they have a unique joint. Just trade the Cuetec in for a Players.

The wife found a players at a yard sale a few monthes back.It was nice find at the price no doubt.

For a "low end" cue it hit good.I got many offers on it later at the pool hall.

I can't speak for all models, but that one didn't feel "cheap".Quite the oppisite.

Players over cutech imo...all day.I still own my cuetec for other reasons, but I'd go with the player over CT in a skinny minute.

HTH

A relative of mine has a players cocobola sneaky and it plays awesome for $30.00 new. I thought about picking one up just to take places I don't want to take my nicer cues. Not a stiff SP, lots of action out of the cue.

LMAO :D:D

never played a cuetec, but the players cue is the best house cue I've ever played so far. it got a nice hit for a cheap cue. gotta try a Kaiser soon and see if it got the same or better hit than a players cue. anybody tried a Kaiser before?

I would put a ramin wood shaft on my cuetec, thats if i hit got hit on the head with a bat and owned a cuetec.:)

If I had a Cuetec I would put an Eliminator shaft on it and hope it disappeared. :p :D :D
Players does not have a Meucci shaft  just merly the same pin size 5/16X18
