Players HXT Skinny (Thoughts?)

Has anybody used this shaft? I was contemplating asking for a I3 for my birthday but I dunno, I just don't like asking for expensive stuff, I may just ask for this shaft as its only about 100 dollars, has the diameter I'm looking for, and is definitely would have lower deflection than my shaft. The only problem I can see with it is that the pro taper is not ideal for this diameter, and it would be whippy. If a shaft is whippy wouldn't it be able to move away from the cue ball faster and maybe have more "feel"? I think using a small diameter tip will improve my stroke as I have to be very accurate on the CB when it comes to tip placement.

I can always get an i3 later, whenever its my own money, I'm no professional anyways.

The players hxt skinny shaft is a fantastic shaft imo. It had really low deflection and has great control. Due to the pro taper some would say its whipped but its nothing one can't control. Its definitely a good value if it is your first after market shaft I think it will be fine.

I ended up getting the i3 which plays amazing, I'm getting better already.

I just got a ob classic my self and I'm playing a lot better I have so much more control over the ball find my self running a lot more racks! Good luck with ur new shaft

Whippy works for Earl. I believe he is sporting a sub-12mm shaft with a looooong pro taper.
