So I'm thinking about picking one up? Just wanted too know what u guys think? Did u like the rubber on the butt end? How do they jump? Just looking for some info from some of u that have use or used one. I use a cheap j&j right now just looking for upgrade any help would be great thanks guys

The one I tried wouldn't jump at all and the break was mediocre. Imho your money is better spent on something else.

I was sufficiently impressed after trying out my buddy's to pull the trigger on one of my own.

His broke and jumped well. Mine breaks and jumps well. I also have a playing shaft for it, and it plays well. I'm 2/2 on the good side with them, and it sounds as though 80P is 1/1 on the bad side.

The bottom line, though, is that you can get an Alex Brick for not much more, and the Brick is a better breaker and jumper. If you're not on a budget, get a Brick. If you are on a budget, just keep the J&J they get the job done just fine.

Spend an extra $75 and get an Alex brick. You will be MUCH happier.

I don't have one, but I've often thought the concept of having the extra little jump butt would be nice, especially if you want to use a dart stroke. On my current jump/break, and on most others, the jump butt is relatively large and heavy, which is fine for longer jumps but not ideal for short dart jumps.

In my opinion jump/breaks are always just ok at both breaking and jumping. If I were you I would look into getting a jump cue and a break cue depending on your budget.

The HXTPs are surprisingly adequate at both.
Alex Brick's are phenomenal at both... as long as you can hit center cue ball on your break. Miss center ball and you know it with a Brick.

I really want a brick bad

I have two different friends that bought these, one went with black, the other white. They seem to break well, but I don't care for jumping with them. Personally, I prefer a lighter break cue, but if standard weight break cues are your thing, and that's your main concern, then they're a good value for the money imo. If you're buying it mostly for jumping, then I'd look elsewhere, for a custom jump cue possibly.

Not unless you have a Samsara ultra hard break tip on it. When I had the white Diamond, I noticed more when I hit off center but with the Samsara I can hit it off center and it still smashes the rack.
