Just curious if most mechanics are pretty good players and is that how they got started?

Yeah no doubt about that, but they don't post here.
my dad purchased a table when I was ten. I have been playing since. In high school I was playing at home for several hours each day and wore out the cloth. I replaced it twice while in high school and got a job refurbishing used tables the day I graduated. I still play pool but my love now is for the table. For local handicap tournaments I'm a 4A and in APA a 6 in 8-ball and 7 in 9-ball.
