Playing in BCA league that doesn't use Fargo.

Hi all,
I haven't played BCA league in a few years. My question is our BCA league doesn't use Fargo. So if I go to a BCA tournament elsewhere that uses Fargo how do they give me a Fargo rating?

My two leagues have multiple sanctions but use a different rating system. We pay sanction fees to multiple organizations so if league members play tournaments they can play. About 80%-90% of our league players play tournaments. Our league members that want to start playing tournaments are given a starting fargo by our league operators as with so many league members already shooting tournaments it is easy for them to pretty accurately judge where they should start based on their league play.
They will usually assign them a starting fargo slightly higher than what he thinks it should be to start with. When my wife first wanted to start shooting tmts, he gave her a starting fargo about 30 points higher than she actually is after about 200 games in fargo. These league operators have been doing this for years and years and are well respected by the operators of all the tournaments in our state.
Edit, If you have never played league under BCA sanction, not sure what you can do as we routinely have people looking to sub when it close to big state tmts. I think they have to have 2-4 plays in in a league that is under those sanctions first.

If you paid your BCA fees to your league operator, you should be sanctioned, if not then I would say no. Actually we just got our two sanction membership cards and patch and rule books tonight at league, and our leagues started 2nd week of Sept.

I don't understand stand it. We are at BCA but we don't use Fargo! Does that mean we are not an officially sanctioned BCA?
If you paid your bca fee then you’re sanctioned. The one in york isn’t either.. I guess it’s an optional thing if your league operator wants to put in the work .

NOTE: the following is conjecture on my part and should be taken at face value.

The league software BCA uses is actually run by FargoRate. It is very flexible and leagues can be configured in a lot of different ways. FargoRate is just one of several different options for managing handicaps. Since all users are registered in Fargo when you add them to a league, and since Fargo owns the software, my bet is that regardless of the handicap style the league uses the individual results are still reported to Fargo and each player has a Fargo whether the league uses it or not.

We don't use BCA's league software, and none of our scoring is reported to fargo. We are ACS, WSPA, and I'm sure BCA. Maybe we really aren't BCA, but I think we are. I pat 3 sanction fees.

WSPA, WAMO, CSI/PL, ACS??

Not really sure, I'll have to look or ask. All I know is I used to have to pat 3 different sanction fees, but this year my wife says it was just two. I'm one of the only persons in league that doesn't shoot tmts, my wife does though, shooting one at the WPBA event here tomorrow actually. Think she said it's an ACS event. She also goes around the state with her friends shooting team events.
I really don't have an interest in tmts as so many around here go so late into the night if you do well. Also there is the situation with us and our dog, about 6 hrs away is the limit, so with the wife wanting to shoot, it's virtually impossible for me to also.
Any way our leagues have their own scoring system based out of Stick The Rock, and don't do fargo. I really wish I could refuse the sanction fees as I don't do that stuff, but that's another battle for another day.

Thank you for your answer. How do I verify if I have a Fargo?

Thank you! Sure enough I have a rating at the Fargo site!

BCA sold the league to CSI. There isn't a BCA league anymore. It would be called BCAPL and is run by CSI which uses Fargo to handicap the leagues. So I have no idea what these other posters are talking about. Maybe some old timers holding out. idk.
