I would say that 16 months of "mourning" is a little long and unusual, and would suggest that you might consider a professional. As far as your pool playing goes, I would say that you should also have your game back after such a long period of time. It's hard to look at the bright side, but if you can in some way consider yourself fortunate to now have more free time on your hands to put into the game you might be able to turn this into a positive situation. One thing I can tell you from experience is that the woman you're with now is always somebody you love more than all the others, so if you don't have somebody new in your life, you need to find that woman that can be your "now" woman. It's amazing how the heart will heal when it goes into love mode again.
In 2002 I came home to discover my wife, whom I adored, with another guy. I kicked them both out of my house and immediately went to the pool room where I knew was the only place I could feel comfortable. That night, without warm up, I ran a 6-pack right out of the gate on a double shimmed Brunswick and I didn't even know it until my opponent pointed it out to me (major zone). Til that night, I had never put together more than a 3-pack, and haven't run more than 4 racks since! I played the best pool of my life that night!! And I remember that night for the good more than I do the bad.
Good luck,
dave
