playing pool can make u blind!!!

lewdo: great post, greath advice. I have one of the books, but i totally forgot i still had to find and read the other 2. i will do so asap before i forget it again.

wayne: thats what my plan is :) cutting down training to 1/3th of my time and tournaments 2/3 of the time. Why? my practice is high lvl and very constant, only 1/20th of my trainings im not satisfied. Where as it is 15/20 tournaments im not satisfied. im just gonna put myself under so much heat till i get imune to it, keeping my trainings focuse on proper strokes, good funadamentals and finding the right preshot routine/rhytme for me , and cutting back on certain pots, certain positional shots etc, because i know that if my brain wants it, my body will deliver it.

now... training my silly brains is gonna be fun :p any volenteers? :D

Free Wheeling to the Zone

I am a firm believer in that you get out what your willing to put in..A lot of us players have to really work at maintaining focus.. What i find myself doing is shooting a shot and if i miss i just set it up again and try to continue the run when i finally make the shop..This is not good.. You will always eventually make the ball..False sense of accomplishment (sp)..I find that if i put some pressure on myself in practice is makes me feel like i can handle it during a match.. Also, try to get your focus to be on just the table..Forget what your opponent is doing..When he/she is at the table take this time to look the table over and see what is available to you should you get another turn at the table.. Sound simple..Wish it was..Hope this helps..Anyone with some info that will help our game will be greatly appreciated.. Don:p

hehe Yella in da house :)
how are u m8?

i guess ill have to come one day. Id like to play frank too. maybe we can find a afternoon where we can play some matches, would be cool.

how i did in the B ranking? I didnt play this b-ranking because i couldnt afford it. i had a barr who proposed me to work the night before and sunday, and i HAD to accept it to pay the bills. :(

I havent trained for some time either (got some serious $ troubles, 4 months without work, and bills to make u depressive). i only play the rankings and the Down town jacks poolbox (only 5€), and im not doing well. i was starting to get back on track on the loontjes open a week after i straightend my stroke. (was winning 3-1 vs Juliano smidt but lost 3-6 after he cleaned 4 racks in a row), won 3-6 vs another high rated dutch guy, but then lost 3-6 vs luc, but i havent trained much and it has his effects. Im not constant anymore (in contrary with u). I win vs better players, but i lose vs worse players. and i NEVER get anything close to my training level. frustrating. Anyway, i wont be able to train much soon either, (again $ troubles till i got a new job). Ill still do the DTJ poolbax tournaments, and i will be training my stroke tills its perfect (on a kitchen table, 2 video camera's and a beer botle) and my mind. and ill train the game itself again when i can afford it.

i wont be a A player this year, and its not my goal. I just started pool in august. i need to work on my fundamentals and mental concentration/consistency before ill be really able to try to make it in the A rankings, but i will get there soon.

grats on your result on the A ranking yella!! top 16 soon?
