Playing pool in Las Vegas...where to go??

I'm going to Las Vegas towards the end of March (for my job - training). I am staying on the Strip (Stardust Casino). Was wondering if anyone could suggest any good places to play pool nearby.....I'm doubting that anyplace on the Strip would have pool tables.

I am also on foot........guess I could take a taxi to a pool hall....not interested in dropping $20.00 to catch a ride to/from a pool hall.

I'm also thinking about attending the UPA tournament at Binnions, taking place that week. Although they do have an amateur tournament at the same time, will probably just go watch the pros play, since I'll be in classes all day.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!!
 
There is a Pool Hall on the strip. It is in a small shopping center. I just can't remember what it is close to. We partied way to much last time we were there. As fast as that town changes, it may not be there anymore.:)
 
Unless things have changed in the last year, the best place to play is the Cue Club in the Commercial Center. A long walk from the heart of the strip, and not in the best neighborhood, so it's a cab ride. Ask for a table on the right-hand side of the room; the tables on the left are for bangers and are a mess.
 
The closest would be the Las Vegas Cue Club on Sahara. If you go north on the Strip and make a right onto Sahara, it's about a half mile up the road, on the right. It's in a shopping complex, so you need to turn into the lot to park and find the entrance.

Taxi's are expensive in Vegas, kinda like here(NYC). If you want to go to Binion's (downtown)on the cheap, you can take a bus to Fremont St. and walk over a couple blocks.

Thank you. That is the one i was thinking about. we stayed at the Sahara
so we were on that end of the strip.:)
