Playing safe - how important?

play what the table gives you. simple as that. sometimes the win is there so run out, other times its not-play smart. there are no %'s on that, depends on the equipment, your level of skill etc. its that simple<----which isnt that simple at all sometimes

I want to thank you all for the great replies, just what I was looking for!
I currently play position, and pocketing balls. My wife would NOT play if I played safe, and the late afternoon, after playing pool sex, would disappear quickly.

This is precisely what I was talking about. More babies are born each year from pool sex than any other endeavor. Except maybe smoking pot. Or drinking. :smile:

Well, we played for a few hours yesterday. We both had a stellar day. There were several occasions I told her to play safe, I explained why, as well as the importance of it in some instances, and she said "F you! I going to try and hit my ball and break that mess up." Which she did with a nice kick. THATS my girl! LOL

Anyway, I didn't play safe on one shot but my brian started looking for the best safety when warranted. I guess that's better than not looking for it at all.

My wife really enjoys the game but she really has no interest beyond that other than playing with me on the weekends. It's great entertainment for her, and having fun with me is her focus, so I'm stuck with it for now. I'll take what I can get.

I guess it could be worse, we could be knitting matching sweaters together on the weekends.
