I got a pre cat 314 at the pool hall today for 70 dollars. I was asked if I wanted the butt too. Not wanting to pay money out of pocket ( I love gambling) I declined then it was given to me. LOL It has been painted red and looks as you would imagine. Obviusly a cue maker did the painting but it is ruff.
My question is...
I was told the butt is also a Predator. It has a Predator emblem on the rubber butt stop and the joint is 5/16x14 (pre 2002). The bumper is a thread in design butt the cue has no threads for the rubber to screw into. You just twist and shove. The cue has no weight bolt in it.
Is there any way for me to tell for sure; especially since the cue has a thick covering of red paint now?
