Hello members, I hope someone out there can give me some information about this cue maker or about these cues.

Some of these cues have beveled backs like the early Brunswick cues.

All of these cues have Ivory Ferrules and all but two are still straight.

I suspect, but I am uncertain that these cues may have been made by Brunswick and then marked by the company presently on these cues.

Any help would be appreciated.

a quick google search showed some old listings at ebay for MICHAEL DERTZO 9' table circa 1900's.

Maybe a billiards company towards the turn of century?

US Social Security Death index has this for the name.

I grew up in New Haven (next town over) and still live here, I've never heard of this guy, but there was and still is a crown billiards, different location, different owners different era. I don't believe I've ever seen one of those cues laying around here, but then againe we don't have any billiard history around here. 20 years would be our oldest pool room, and most are about to go under anyway.

I would definately think they are private labeled Brunswick cues. When I was in North Carolina I located a small room and they had Charlotte Billiard tables, they were clearly a Brunswick Private label or they had new plates made.
