I’m being told it was made by McDermott. I can not find anything anywhere about it anywhere. He is saying it’s a $500 or higher value but only selling for $150. Price difference is acceptable since I know him for about a year and a half and he wants me on 2 of his teams

CompetitionSports used to import/dist the higher-end ADAM's stuff. Most of ADAM's standard line shifted production to the factory in China that makes Lucasi, Players. Both brands at one time used Roman numerals. Good chance that is where this was made. Good basic playing cue. Still think around 75bux is the value.

Yes, Competition Sports sold Adams and Helmstetter cues. I visited there in 1990 when living in NY- bought a Helmstetter - if you wanted extra shafts made- Pete Tascarellla was making them for the guy who was running Competition- I had 2 made back in 1991 - I believe they were 5/16 X 18 piloted joints on the Helmstetters back then- since sold the shafts - they were real good playing shafts- aged real nice- Drexler put on some Aegis ferrules for me when I moved to CT
