Help with a wrap on a older 1980's Mali cue in 95% - Today, 10:38 PM

original condition. But, the wrap has raised and it makes the butt section look like the butt is warped. I don't have a wrap tool, but I do have a lathe to work with.
Please let me know what the best and safest way to press the linen wrap back into position below vertical line with the butt section?
The cue is mint in condition and the wrap is also mint, i dont know if someone used a wet rag to clean some chalk off of the wrap and that is what raised the wrap or not. Please help me, I sold the cue to someone and they said it was warped in the butt like the tickness of a quater, I refunded him his money and when I got it back I rolled the butt and noticed the wrap was higher than the wood and that was what he was rocking back and forth.
