cocobolo burl

Here is a nice burl square for all you "cocobolo-philes" out there. You don't see this stuff too often.

Been sitting on this for a while but was thinking about having it made into a cue shortly....maybe letting Andy Gilbert have at it. My initial thought is that since the burl is so intense just at the one end, that'll be the butt sleeve and then the rest will be used for points. Anyone else have a suggestion or design thought?

I agree with your plan. My cue has a "gnarly" butt and the straight grain in the coco points look good without the need for veneers.
