I just heard that Rags Fitzpatrick's widow Christine Schaffer has apparently suffered a serious fall. She is in her eighties (Rags died in 1960). It was such a great experience to have her, and her family, at the recent One Pocket Hall of Fame dinner to accept Rags induction, and to see how much she enjoyed reminiscing with long-lost old friends/opponents like Marshall Carpenter and George Rood.

She shall be in my prayers for a good and speedy recovery. My father in law, who is going to be 95 in march, broke his hip in a fall 2 years ago and to look at him today you would never know it.. So peace be with her and in Gods hands during her recovery..................mike
