Just wanted to say the Cue Ball in Alhambra, CA is in the process of having their tables redone by Ernesto, who is a gentleman and one of the top table mechanics on the planet. There will be 7 9’ diamonds with 4” pockets (new rails and new cloth, 3 are already done) and another 12 gold crowns with various size pockets all refelted. The room itself is very cool, huge space, good food, and just wanted to put the word out that there are tight tables and some action players here so roll through if you get the chance! PM me for action I’m there almost daily and happy to make games or steer people towards them. That is all!

Silly of me not to think of that. I have of a few on my phone of the new diamond pockets but not the overall room. I’m bump the thread with more soon but for now…

Not currently but I’m considering running a monthly 9-ball and 1pocket tournament, similar to what hard times used to do. They seem open to it. Im kinda the closest thing they have to a house player (not sponsored but I’m in there daily and they give me a break on time) and im the one that convinced them to let Ernesto tighten all the pockets up in an effort to make it more of a players room.

I’m definitely interested- I live about 25 miles away, so I could only really make it on weekends. Want to get back into playing on 9 foot tables- used to play at HOB in Santa Monica and Hard Times. I have a 7 footer in my garage and play on 7 footers in league

Santa Monica HOB was my home room from when I moved to LA in 2014 until it closed. I’ve since moved east and I’m like 5 minutes away from the cue ball. It’s fairly empty during the day and I told them they’d get more players if the redid the equipment and tightened up the pockets. And they did! I work mostly in the morning so I’m there most days after I’m done, I’m always open to playing cheap or expensive rotation or 1 pocket, with anyone who comes in looking for a game (as long as I haven’t heard of you lol). I’m not a champ myself I just play a lot and like to gamble. But yeah I’m trying to get some players in there, equipment is great, and hoping to run some tournaments. I’ll keep ya posted for sure!

If I ever get another trip to Burbank I’ll head over to Cue Ball for some action

We bring Ernesto here to Family Billiards in Boone, NC every 2 years for the last 30 years to work on our tables - he’s the best and the only one I would allow to work on our tables!

Now, if he'd just get some carom rails and a heating system for that 10' gabriels!
