pocket angle on my crown

I'm tearing my crownIV down to put new cloth on and new carpet in my "cave". Seems like a good time to ask for some opinions. This table plays tough with 5" pockets. If you touch a rail with any more than pocket speed it hangs. I drew a diagram [not very good but descriptive] of the dimensions of the corner pocket. Standard 5" at the mouth, 4.75 across the middle and 4.5 at the edge. Is this a standard taper for a stock table? I had the rubber switched out from the original superspeeds a few years back and in ignorance never asked about how he would cut the pockets. Wrong or right? Thanks Don

More than likely the guy opened the the pocket to the wrong specs....thats why the ball won't go in the pocket if you touch the rail going in.....the down angle is more than likely wrong as well.....lot of different things need to be done for the GC 4 rails to play correctly. The cushion you want on the table makes a difference as well.

More than welcome to call me for advice on the rails or have me do them for you.

I don't know your budget, but i would definitely check into having your rails recalibrated by either mark as offered or I had Donny from SDBilliards redo mine for my Gold Crown II. After having them done I can tell you they play better than any Gold Crown I have played on, you won't be disappointed.
