Hello All,
I've been lurking here for a few weeks and, while I'm clearly out of my league, was hoping I could get some perspective.
I've just purchased a used table for $300. Some friends and I are planning on moving it today so I went by last night and pulled off the rails, removed the pockets, and pulled off the felt.
Turns out that under the rail on the corner pocket, the slate on one of the corners of the pocket cracked all the way through (it actually looks like I could remove it). The piece is about 6inches wide which puts 99% of it under the rail.
Should I try to fix it? Should I remove it when we pull the slate apart to move it? What would be the best way to proceed?
Kudos to all of you who've helped me learn about more about tables from your posts here. Thanks!
