Has anyone tried that pocket lathe? I would like some feedback on it to see whether it is worth buying. Thank you for any comments.

i think using any other tip tool is just as easy, i fooled with it and found the stands that the cue spins in very unstable and clumsy, i see alot of shaft dings when they fall over, wish i had it with me at the moment id sell it to ya, cheap,

They work ok but nothing to get excited about. I do use the stands with my homemade shaft spinning device using a drill and a crutch tip. I made a bunch of pvc pipe tip shapers too. It was fun making them and then giving them away.

No sorry. I would never dream of buying any clothing without being perfectly happy with the diameter of the pockets.

I don't have any pictures of the pvc pipe shapers. You take a piece of pvc pipe about 3 ft long, rip it in half in a table saw with a fence and then cut the 3 ft length into pieces about 6" long.

Go to Auto Zone and get some self-adhesive sandpaper that they use in auto body shops and put the sand paper into the pvc pipe halves and you have a tip shaper!

It looks like the one shown on the pocket lathe link in the post above somewhere.

There's also pics of the shaper and the home made lathe made from an electric drill and a crutch tip on the ccb... if you do a search.

I have a set. It's nice. It works as advertised. But, since I don't touch my tips after I install them, I don't use it anymore. And no, I'm not selling them.

Fred <~~~ and I've got a lathe a razor blade.
