I've used them in the past, and they are great for getting you to focus on hitting the object ball in exactly the right spot. The downside is they don't really play the same as shimmed pockets, and balls coming in at tight angles may easily blip out. However, shooting balls straight into the pocket with them installed will help groove your stroke and aiming quickly, adding to your confidence when shooting at regular size pockets.

I purchase (trade a 2 x Q Claw) for (2) from a guy who had a set of (6), they improve aim as they Reduce Pockets. 
Know a Guy who bought a Diamond Table Recently. Wanted REALLY TIGHT POCKETS, I would personally bought the Table with Standard Pockets, and used Reducers PRN (as nessessary)
