Was Wondering if your Ball are 2.25 Inches, how Large or How Small Should the Pockets be. Was talking with my Bud yesterday, and he seem to think all the pocket on the Table you see Matches on ESPN, and OVERSIDED?

Making it easier for the Pro to Pocket Ball to make the Matches go faster.

In my opinion, the corners should be 4 1/2 inches and the side pockets should be 5 inches. And, yes, these days it is very rare to see the ESPN televised men's pool played on anything but tables that are looser than that.

Pro pockets are not larger then usual, they are smaller, 4-1\2" - 4 5\8", although they may go larger then that on espn. Another factor is how deep the shelf is (how far into the pocket the slate extends).

I think 4.5 is a good size. I really start to lose some shots any tighter than that :(

IMO, new Simonis pockets balls easier since it is slicker. Balls slide in of the facings easier. thats why the TV matches always have impossible shots fall which make the pockets look big.
