POISON cues

I was playing some bar box this weekend and i had to borrow a friends cue. It was a wrapless maple POISON cue. I was pretty impressed with the playability of the cue. I hadn't really thought much about the cues because they're considered low end . Although when i tried the cue it was actually pretty nice.

Any body else impressed with these cues?
 
Well i wouldn't pay $300 for one but i'm just saying it played pretty nice for being considered low end.
 
Well, china or no china, i will say one thing.
That whole integrated rubber grip in the butt is PHENOMENAL.
Not sure about the rest of the cue as i only hit like 3 balls with it, but the grip was great.

AND, for those that want to knock china right out of the gate, what other cues NOT made in china, have an integrated rubber type grip BUILD INTO THE CUE?

China critics are funny.
 
I hit with these at the Hopkins show. I was pretty impressed. Now, one thing to remember. Whether Predator, Lucasi, or Poison, they are all pretty much the same cue. And yes, the rubber grip is something pretty neat. I love mine on my lucasi hybrid. Having said all of that, you'd have to shoot me to get me to give up my Webb cue, whether I have a Webb shaft or a predator shaft on it. Cheapo cues are great, no doubt, but you do get what you pay for...

I borrowed a friend's Poison jump/breaker and immediately bought one. I really like the balance and the rubber grip (I have one of those old-guy rubber sleeves on my playing cue).

The phenolic tip popped off, so I had to have the ferrule faced, but otherwise I like it. I don't even mind the plastic butt, except that it makes the jump handle heavy.

I own the Poison jump/break cue and it works good for me. I have yet to try out there playing cues but I would assume the quality and feel would be good considering that predator is the owner of poison. I know it sucks that almost everything is made in China these days but as long as the quality is there who cares.
