Poison J/B joint

I have a customer with a poison J/B cue VXPR and the pin that attaches the handle to the jump section is spinning. It's not the insert, so I will need to remove/replace the pin. It's a bullet QR type pin. Where can I get the Bullet Joint pin to replace her's?

Hi Dave,

Unless there is physical damage to the pin I see no need to replace it.
There's an old version and a newer version, one being 1/4" longer than the other.
Neither has adequate buried depth length IMO.

What they don't do at the time of installation and that I will now share with you is,
mill, cut, grind or whatever, a relief-slot the length of the buried depth of the pin.
This acts as a key-way for the cured epoxy (being the key).
I do this with all my inserts as well.

The Uni-QR, I slot two sides of the barrel.
1/4" of 7/16x20 thrds holding the insert, especially in wood,
does not overwhelm me with confidence.
Without modification, this insert comes loose more often than any other I'm aware of.

Thanks KJ, but I may need to damage the pin to remove it. It is very firmly in the cue, it only twists when tightening the handle, which then comes loose...so heat will be possibly needed. I finally found that it's a uniloc bullet pin and Atlas sells them.

Very little heat should be required to release your pin. The internal thrds are gone.
You'll understand the issue much clearer when you have the pin in your hand.
Wait for it to cool-down first. Hopefully your replacement pin will be longer.
