In planning for a year and executed in two months, the polka dot cue made by Jerry Rauenzahn of Warren, PA arrived this morning.

The cue modeled after the two most famous makers of yesteryear is as follows:

Purple Heart Titlist. Mother of pearl dots in the forearm points. Above the points mother of pearl dots outlined in purple heart. Joint collars with mother of pearl dots ivory rings reminiscent of George.

Mother of pearl dots in the butt sleave, linen wrap and delrin cap reminiscent of Gus.

Ivory ferrels and ivory joint top it off and you have the much anticipated polka dot cue executed to perfection by the talented Jerry Rauenzahn.

glad you traditional folks like the cue
My pedigree is i had the good fortune of growing up in brooklyn n.y. and bought a better cue at the age of 17 in 1967.
Went for the full $75.00 and wound up with a cue form the local maker .His names was george something or other (a russian sounding last name) I still have that cue but sold one of the shafts in 1969 for $25.00. Pretty good deal since i only paid $75 for the whole thing with two shafts.
Any way over the years i've come to know quality and price.
Mr Rauenzahn with give you some of both (these days its easy to get one or the other).
The pictures above tell the story.
He is in the blue book or can be reached at rauenzahncue@atlanticbb.net
tell him buska bob sent you.

You have a picture of the joint? We would like to see the ring work, and is that a radial pin?

titlist

Radial pin-- picture coming shortly of ring work
ring work is similar to ring bushka used above wrap.
i wouldn't put ring above wrap and cut titlist there.
By the way my name on this board should be bushka bob but when i signed up i screwed up and don't know how to change it.

Ring work on titlist

Here it is, polka dot rings, what else would a polka dot cue have...

Send Mike (AzHousepro) a PM and let him know. I'm pretty sure he can take care of it for you.

Koop

I'll take that old crappy cue off your hands for $150. You can double your money and I won't even gripe over the missing shaft :D

Talked to Jerry today

I told Jerry your cue looks top notch. He sent me a email to look at this thread and I replied I saw the thread two days ago. He is having problems useing this forum so I will talk him through it tomorrow!
Are you changing your name to Rauenzahn Bob?
Nick

while the Rauenzahn pedigree would be most impressive its like a top violin maker today try ing to compete with the deceased legacy of Stradivarious.
Even if todays maker is as good or better the mystery , limited availabilty and overall historical nature of the piece is hard to compete with.
How about Bushkazahn Bob
