I put my self on this 2hr plan 2months ago, and have done nothing but focus on perfect stroking, exact pinpoint position, and a plan for every ball on every shot. Although I'm not a pro player and may have flaws and bad thought process and blow shape etc. this plan was the greatest FREE thing that's ever helped me!!! I never set up shots or drills, just played games with 100% concentration, after day 1 you realize just how little you play shape. I went from sending the cueball over there to sending it to HERE! I would think most better players like myself never really play 100%, I've been fairly successful with about 80% attention. Playing 100% is very very hard to stay focused and i found around week 6 or so it's become my pre shot routine.
Change your mind and change your game! Although I still get better breaks bridged off the rail lol

I also do this as part of my practice and drill daily too. What also is important I found for me is not just pinpoint position but how I get there, for example, I always look to make shape along the shot line. Secondly, instead of running 6, 7, 8 Ghost as I was doing, I started this with four balls but mapping out the best pattern, seeing shape along the shot lines, and also if I miss shape where should I best miss it (hi or low to line) while standing and walking around the table before getting down and executing. Although I love to draw, I am always looking to shape by rolling the cue ball and as simple as possible too.

If I do miss, I put it back exactly and attempt again.

I'm doing this drill with five balls now since four balls become too routine but four balls present a nice compact setup for focusing on rolling for shape along the shot line and pre-identifying hi or low miss to line.

Good for you!

Sounds like a good way to improve your game.

Concentrating for every shot in every game in every match seems impossible for me to do.

I admire those that can do it.
