Pool alive, and well where you live, or Pool places closing

It seems that over the past 25 or so years (and increasing in the past 10 or so), much bigger homes have been built in developing suburban areas in the US, and that has given rise to the game room. More and more pool players are living in homes that allow them to own their own pool table, and so those folks are not spending lots of time in pool halls.

Things are steady in my part of South Eastern Pa, but not great. The economy in general has slowed things down I believe.

We just have to deal with it. I remember in 1993-94 we were very slow and it came back then.

yea!!! happy 15th anniversary Mick!:D

While Micks room will always be considered my "Home room".....I moved out to the country and American Billiards in Quakertown PA. is the closest for me for weekly trips after work. Come on in and get some action....it's alive and well up here for basically what ever amount, or whatever game you like....10ball, 9ball, 14.1, 1 pocket, banks..... triple , and double shim Crowns, players of all levels, $8 table time all day and action. What else can you ask for in a room?:D

see ya there,

Pool dead!

I live in a town of 20K and we do not have a room. I assume a town of this size cannot or will not support one. Would love to start one myself but seems to risky. Am I wrong?

I would post that question in the Room Owners Forum.
