Pool and Chess -- strange bedfellows or natural companions?

If that's so, you should alert the folks at Wiki. You might pm JAM about how to do it; she's got some Wiki experience.

Must say I Googled his name and found nothing but high praise for his chess analysis. So where exactly does this "bad rep" come from? A chess board similar to this one? (insert smiley here, 'cept I don't use 'em.)

The important question is whether Schiller can run a rack.

What he wrote about rules is fine. Just don't let him analyze games.

Schiller used to write books as rapidly as McDonald's does burgers.
He would not check his analysis which was superficial at best.
Every chess player knew his books were junk and we stayed away from them.

I sent you a PM, take a look at it.

I laughed out loud at your comment about Schiller's bad books. His lack of attention to detail and poor analysis is legendary.

Do you ever hang out at http://www.chessgames.com ? It's a great chess forum. And Eric Schiller has his own page there. But don't hold that against it.

We are here to entertain. :) No, I haven't followed chess for 10 years. I will take a look. He always spoke very well of himself. :)
I played Schiller once, he used a line that he recommended in one of his books, I came up with an improvement on move 15 and he went off like a firecracker.
He told me it was just something he wanted to try. :)
