Pool Ball Cleaner

I have been using a cleaning wax on my pool balls in a Diamond Ball Cleaner. It works great but are there any negative effects from wax? I know several people use spray cleaner but I heard that builds up in the carpet and cannot be removed. I know the wax can be rubbed out of the carpet.

Also I have been using a Mezz break cue and if I hit the cue ball off center it leaves a tip stain on the cue ball. It is not a crack on the ball but an actual piece of the tip. I first use my nail to remove the mark as much as possible then use the ball cleaner but it is still on it. How do I get the tip residue off the cue ball?

I know when I put massive amounts of draw on a ball after I wax them, the wax gets so hot, it builds up and creates a hill of wax around 3/4 of the ball (i call it a volcano with tsunami potential.) The only thing you can do, is flatten it out with a bowling ball. Kinda messy but effective.
