A guy I used to run into occassionally had a wooden case holder with wheels on it. It was somewhat bulky, but was really convient to have a ready made cue stand travelling with you. I don't know if it was hand made or bought. Anybody from the Quincy, MA area know where Nick the Stick (RIP) got that stand he used?

I've thought about that too. I'm a HUGE golf fan. When I got my new bag, I noticed that it didn't have a stand. I went to Sportmart and picked up a stand that gets slapped and strapped onto the bag. I thought about checking that out for my case. What do ya think?

Sometime back in 96' or 97' I seen a guy at a tournament at Sharky's in Collinsville, Illinois that was selling cue case stands. They were made of the same material that the golf bag stands are made of. They strapped to your cue case with velcro straps, had a lever that would be at the base of your case and just like a golf bag, the two legs would extend when the lever was pressed to the ground. You could then place your cues in your case at about a 60-75 degree angle. I've been looking for this product for about 2 years now, of course I haven't been to proactive about it though.

how about something like this

I've been hinking the same thing! A guy in our league has one and it works great.

I think this might work with a little work http://www.innovagolf.com/gobagstal.html

Gonna go to Edwin Watts golf and check out something like this product.

PS; Still LOOKING FOR A MACE Jump/Break cue !!

This isn't bad! There's got to be a company out there that manufacturers these that we could get in touch with. Let's keep diggin' and see what we find!

Maybe I could Design Something

Manufacture it, and sell it. What is the Value of this gizmo. $29.99 or less? ;)

"If you make it, they will buy it"!
I think somewhere between $19.95-$24.95 retail would be appropriate. Of course the dealers would want a good wholesale price, hint...hint!

He made it...What a nice guy!!!

And to throw in my comment...

I would of loved my Whitten to come with wheels. I am a wheelchair player and with two sticks, this thing weighs close to 12 pounds if not more. If it had wheels then I could just trailor it around. Wheels would be a big plus, not to mention the kickstand being a great idea.

Just a thought Shorty...
If this had wheels and could stand upright, would you be able to get the cues out from the heighth of your wheelchair? I'm not sure how tall your chair is, but an average heighth of a case is about 30"-31", then add another 1"-2" for the base of the stand. Would it help if the stand would put a tilt to the case, giving you some angle to remove your cues? Just getting some ideas!

*grin*

Glad you asked Zim, my chair actually has a lift in the seat and I can extend up to about 32 inches high at the bottom of my seat. Pretty tall for a short guy eh? The tilt would be abit easier, but regardless, wheels would be a plus. I think I could easily get the cues out with it standing flat. I am often up pretty tall when shooting anyway.

Well Shorty I understand your need or want for Wheels but as I said I am going to try and design the Pool Accessory I spoke about above Wheel-less to star with.

As to be honest I have been thinking about my idea for several sleepless nights.

As I said I will forgo the wheels, and work on my idea wheeless, as cost is a factor. I am exploring material possibilities, and fabrication methods that has there best potential to be mass marketed with a Target Retail Price of $20.00-$25.00.

I shall keep you all informed of the progress on my idea, and design. Think there is a potential market for such a device among Pool Players, but the Target Retail Price of $20.00-$25.00 appear to be the first obstacle.

Think this project has potential for a Junior Achievement Project. Wonder where all my High School Junior Achievement Buddies are now. Remember selling stock in our JA Company, Making & Market a Project, and that $0.12/Hour Salary in JA.

I always thought it would be fun to put several cues in a golf bag on wheels and wheel it around to your shot, select a cue, make your shot, replace cue, wheel it around to next shot, select another cue, etc.

I know this would really irritate some of the old timers.

Let's see... You could have three cues with the three different McDermott shafts, a cue with the Predator 314, a cue with the Predator Z, a jump cue, a break cue, and a masse' cue.

....

Don't forget to take into consideration the tight quarters in some rooms and bars. Someplaces I find it tough to find a corner to put my case in leave alone having room to set it up on a stand.
