Hi AZBs,

BeatTheClock.jpg

want to participate in a fun challenge? Currently there is the Beat The Clock challenge, where players from all over the world can compete against each other. The current champion is Arsec from Germany.

https://youtu.be/m8XV9USGCfU

His time is really tough to beat, but there are a few things that he could've done faster.

Want to participate? Just send a video of you where you think you are faster than the current champion. If you really are, you will

- become the new champion
- be the fastest player
- your video will be uploaded and compared with the old champion
- your channel / website will be named in the video description

Let the battle begin!

Do you have to make the balls in order from one end of the table to the other, or did they do it that way just because it is likely the fastest?

Doesn't seem that fast to me. Pretty sure Shaw could post up a sub 20 sec time, if he tried.
I'm gonna give it a shot first chance I get.
Any specific rules?

I had some tries where I could've been about 5 seconds faster, but then everytime missed at the end.

Rules are simple: Place to balls from 1 to 9 on the diamond spots and play in order from one table to the other.

I am curious how long it takes till someone beats the current time of 29:10

It's really not even a matter of how fast. Very few players are skilled enough to make these 9 shots in a row, in order from one end of the table to the other, and get virtually perfect shape on the next ball in line, regardless of how long they have to do it. I would be impressed if I could get to where I could successfully pocket the 9 shots in a row, even if it took me all night long trying!

Hmm.. I guess i forgot that because for me its not that hard of a drill. So far I had a couple of videos sent, even from a German Bundesliga player. But no one was able to beat the 29:10

Now that is cool!

I guess if you've done it a bunch, it wouldn't be that hard of a drill. I think a stop clock on the L drill, using all 15 balls, one on the foot spot and 7 evenly spaced out to the end rail and to the side rail, and pocketing them in any order you wish would be more do-able for most of us. I might try that myself and post a similar challenge.

Sounds interesting, let me know if you've posted the challenge.

I chose less balls so that the videos are shorter. Maybe it would be easier if you could pocket in any order. But then you wouldn't have a chance to be faster than the people who are playing from one table to the other, so it doesnt matter anyway.

But I think the challenge is way to hard for my viewers.

2:07 is my fastest time shooting the L drill in order with 15 balls. Got bored doing this drill and this will make it fun again.
