Pool Cloth

What is the best thing to keep cloth in good shape?

The best way to keep you cloth in pristine condition is Quick-Clean. This will keep the chalk from being pushed into the cloth. The brush and damp cloth will clog the fibers of the cloth. The vacuum pulls at the fibers on the cloth and there is a chance of stretching the cloth.

where do you get that product from

You can order from David's own site here: www.quick-clean.com. You can also get it from quite a few of the major resellers like Muellers, although most of them only carry the actual cans and not the accessories. If it's your first time buying I'd recommend getting the kit with the microfiber wiper; a bit more expensive but it is much easier to use than a regular cloth.

Be aware that there is a serious problem with Quick Clean - It works so effectively you will soon find yourself using it after every single playing session! So if you have a table at home and play on it every day you might find you go through quite a bit.

BTW In case you were not already aware I'd strongly suggest you DO NOT buy from billiardclub.net (You will see their adverts if you've watched any of the US Open online coverage) as they are currently marketing a rip-off of Quick-Clean under their own "Chalk-off" brand. (See this thread if you want to know the details.)

on the other hand....

QC Probably works great, but I dont need it.

I have vacuumed my cloth once a month then simply wipe down with a damp cloth after play for years and it sitll looks great and isn't dirty.

On Billiard Club Network they show David Hodges in a commercial cleaning a table. I may be wrong but I think it is being advertised as Chalk Off. I though David changed the name of his product or came out with a different version.

Thinking this is the same product with a different name is exactly what the sellers of "Chalk-off" want. They are directly trying to hijack customers who are looking to buy Quick-Clean. Using actual videos of Mr. Hodges holding a can of Quick-Clean to advertise Chalk-Off is just blatantly misleading. Again, read through the thread I linked to. Initially Roy at BCn replied to the thread to complain that the accusations were unfounded, but then never replied to any of the subsequent questions posed as to they are using the Quick-Clean advertising content to push their own product.

I read the link. How can they use David Hodges and his advertisement to sell Chalk Off?
