Pool Clubs manage software

About the tournament, we plan to add it to Event page. So owner can create some matches there. For example April Match event
  1. Match time is from April 1st to April 30th.
  2. 11 sets for each match.
  3. Cashier record the result.
  4. Prize top 3 winner a stick.
  5. People can join the event from room site or iPad on room.
We also have a leader board page. It record the match wins and losses from beginning/monthly/annual. The leader board can show it on the room TV. So people know who is the king player in the room.

About the shop page and self service. We plan to provide a client side app on iPad. So player can order drink and food even extend the time from the iPad, cashier will get notification on his PC or iPad.

The server app will auto control the table light based on the paid time.

The system will also have a customer portal site, so they can book a table on the portal site before go to room.

Thank you justnum. I have some questions -
About the equipment management, it likes print a QR on the stick and the system record which stick(QR) belongs to which room/table? Do we need to add a page focus on equipment management? I didn't know the procedure of a player open a table in room. Here is my guess -
  1. Player reach shop.
  2. Player rent the sticks, balls and maybe rub powder from cashier.
  3. Cashier open the light on the table.
  4. Player return the equipment and checkout, off the light.
If like this, the system would have a function that records the equipment out and in. Right? This way can prevent player put the equipment in a wrong place. We can even record the table cloth age, deformations status, table maintenance status on this page.

About the text only. You mean we would also have a text list mode to show the details of each table status?

Everything is stated well, with business systems expect managers to make mistakes.

In addition to the clear workflow, design with user error in mind. What design considerations will you make to allow managers to undo mistakes they make?

It is a popular challenge with cashier systems. Some places make canceling easy, other places require human intervention. Other places can afford to overlook it.
