Pool Cue Finish ...

I used Automotive clear coat for a while with great success but was worried about the health issues associated with it.
Tried UV for a while but that was not as easy as it sounds.
Settled on a water based clear poly from General finishes but now am having problems with adhision and pealing.
Also not getting that rich deep shine.
Had a friend that had his cue refinished in UV and it looks absolutely fantastic so I am considering trying that again.
I do have a good spray booth that vents to the outside air.

If one of you experienced cue makers would be willing to talk with me about this please call.
Home most all day.

Search Solarez in forums. Lot of discussion about it. I use CA and am thinking of a change. Good luck

Solarez has many different types/formulations of finish now. One is very similar to a lacquer, but it isn't as hard of a topcoat as the polyester solarez. The polyester says that it can be sprayed, but it is thick. If one wanted to know more, call them and ask for Gary, the owner/developer and if he's available, he will answer whatever questions you may have about their products.
