For the past few years I've used "best pool rooms in america" as my source for locating the best locations in the cities I visit. Now that source doesn't seem to exist? Anyone else having this problem?
 
Yes, the "best pool rooms in america" was a great site that you could click on a state on a map of the US and then a city and get a list of the best spots to play. This was put together by players that had visited the rooms and offered real assessments of what they found there.
We traveling players need this type of information. I miss the site and would appreciate anyone who can tell me another alternative. Thanks.:confused:
 
Try www.poolroom.com They have a lot of rooms listed, but I would call first to see if the place still exists.
There is a map of the US, Alaska and Hawaii you cam just click on the area where you are going and it will bring up all the lstings.

I prefer playpool. You can enter an address and find rooms according to how far away they are.

Larry, the webmaster at playpool.com closed down the message board, but the rest of the site is still up and the poolroom locator is still working just fine.

I've been there myself alot of the places in there locator no longer exist though or have moved it is better as someone suggested above to call first before you make any trips. I know of another site though that has a pretty good board it's just getting started though so there isn't much there at the moment looks like they have a good start though and will be doing some really good things on the site. http://www.billiards-pool.net
