Pool hall with Diamond 9-footers in Twin Cities

Hi,

I will visit a very good friend in July/August close to St. Paul. He is not a pool player, so he does not have recommendations. I am looking for a pool hall or pool place with 9ft. Diamond tables. Any suggestions? I don't gamble. I would prefer a place where I could borrow a decent cue to play with. An old-fashioned pool hall would be best ...

Buy a McDermott Lucky cue while there if you are used to playing with a standard shaft and bring it back with you in the luggage. Cue should fit in a full size bag diagonally. Thank you all for the recommendations. I contacted Tinman. In the pictures of Jimmysprobilliards I did not see a Diamond 9-footer, but I suppose they have one? (I want to try one out since there is not a single one here in Munich, next one I know is a Diamond 10-footer in Berlin.)

No, I won't buy a McDermott Lucky. I already got one here as a guest cue in my basement. Not overly happy with it and it would not be worth it for one or two short pool sessions in MN. But thanks anyhow.

As long as I can find a decent house cue, that's good enough, I suppose. Over here, some pool halls only have really crappy house cues with totally flat tips and other deficiencies making it pretty awful to play.

He's got 9ft Diamonds in there. Used to have 9ft Professionals. Not sure what is there now.
 
Jimmy's should have a few 9 foots, Stooges has more than 20 down that way. Shooters in Burnsville has like 30 or more. 1 Diamond, the rest Gold Crown. New pool hall in Bloomington too should have a few.

Not sure if Als is still around. Has gold crowns. Not as nice but very close.

Twin cities billiards might have a 10 ft. Call them.

Thank you, now I have a lot of choices. Tinman has answered my PM and he has another very nice suggestion - his own private club. So, I should not have a problem to find something for a day or two.

That’s such a cordial, noble gesture it deserves being recognized & applauded.
 
Yes, very nice of him. I was having problems answering to threads and private conversations and not receiving notification emails from this site but those should finally be ironed out thanks to Mike Howerton. Thank you all.
 
I didn't mind the red labels, but blue label pro's are definitely an upgrade. I live 2 1/2 hours away, if I drive legal. It's been a while. I've got a brother that lives north metro, will have to meet him there. No nines anywhere around me.
