Pool halls in Hampton Roads area?

So is there anyone on here that is very familiar with billiards establishments in Southeast VA? I'm going to be staying at the Hampton Inn in Norfolk/Portsmouth/Chesapeake on business travel, sharing a car with two co-workers who might be convinced to shoot some pool, but who aren't likely to be willing to drive very far to get there. So starting from address 3235 Western Branch Blvd Chesapeake VA, where should I try to talk them into going? Decent food and/or cheap drinks would be a plus.

Q-Masters is probably 1/2 an hour away, is that too far?

You are 15 miles from Q-Masters-that would be #1 on my list. Im not from there but i seriously doubt any place closer would be worth the shortened distance.

You're definitely going to want to hit up Q-Masters. With low/average traffic you're maybe 15 minutes away if that. Another place is Obelisk Billiard Club but that's a little further away and in Newport News up north. Q-Masters is bigger, better tables, better environment. I'm there every Thursday or whenever I feel like making a tournament. They have decent food and average priced drinks... just watch your feet as Barry likes to let his dog free-roam :p

you can ignore that last step, just go through the light after passing over the train tracks and make a left into the large parking lot... can't miss q-masters.

I sort of suspected Q-masters would be the answer. Since it's not my car, I'm not entirely sure I can get there. It would mean convincing my coworkers to drive half an hour away instead of drinking in a bar or restaurant within walking distance. If they were pool players, that might work, but they're not.

Anyway, unless anybody knows of any place closer, I'll see what convincing I can do.

On the off-chance I can get there, anybody know how late the Wednesday night tournament usually lasts? It says 32 players, but it also says double elimination, so I'm not sure how to predict how long that would go. Not that I have any chance of making it to the finals, just wondering.

Not sure. I played in a Sunday tournament with just over 100 players and it went 12 hours, so maybe 5 hours with 32. They have pretty good looking servers so you could use that as a convincing factor :)
