Depends on the kind of player you are and what you're looking for.
Sharpshooters and Hollywood are great pool rooms; no doubt.
There's a handicapped 8 ball/9 ball tournament on Monday and Tuesday at New Wave Billiards across from FIU.
Doral Billiards has "ladies nite" while you're in town, too, I believe, and the best 3 cushion tables around. (New Wave is second.)

High Heeled Cafes or Breastbars arent my specialty :rolleyes: though I do know that Scarlet's is a hotspot from what I see from I-95 as I pass it to go to work. My personal favorites are Rachaels on 45st <WPB> and Spearmint Rhino up there as well. Pure Platinum in Ft Lauderdale is legendary...
 
Found Doral Billiards by accident and frankly I was a bit dissapointed. It took 3 tables before getting a decent one and it still was not very good at all.

Gonna try to get to Hollywood Billiards tonight and maybe watch some of the action :smile:
 
Apparently hollywood is changing the format of their tournament. its now going to be $25 entry fee and every match you win, you win $ back. $5 then $10 then $20 etc. Interesting format, esp since previously you had to play to 1-2am to win anything. Its a handicapped 9ball tournament.

New Wave actually is having the best attended tournaments in south florida right now. 26 players last night for 9 ball and they regularly get 20-32 players. They also run a handicapped 9ball event at New Wave north in Hialeah that is on Wed and a handicapped 8ball event at the same place on Thurs.

Sharpshooters has no tournaments right now, but you can find action there usually. Mostly cheap but they were playing $500 short races 9ball on Saturday night I heard.

There's a 9-ball tournament on Tuesday nights.
