Pool Halls in phoenix?

aka Pablo!
Hi, im new to the forum, new to the game as well :) But I love it. I was wondering where everyone likes to play in the valley. I've found a few decent places, my favorite so far is river city pockets but its way far from where I live. I live out in goodyear, if anyone knows of one out here that would be great to know.

I think that Six Shooters is probably the nicest place on your side of town ... well, sort of your side of town. It's closer to you than River City. It is located on the corner of 35th Ave. and Peoria. I think it's more of a recreational player room at night, but there is a group of players that hang out there in the day time. If you like bar tables, I have heard that there are always players at Alexander's (35th and Dunlap, I believe ... I haven't been there in over a year and I keep forgetting where it is) in the evening.

Hey Bobb,
you might want to check out Metro Sportz just off I-17 down from Castles & Coasters (Dunlap also). They have 9 1 year old Gold Crown IV's and free pool til 7 M-F.

P.S. Jimmy was right about Alexander's. Go on any Friday and if you're looking, you WILL find action.

Do you have to be 21 to go to metro sports bar? That might present a problem me being only 19 :P

West side

Sixshooters has a couple of very good players during the day shift...
Alexanders is only one mile south at 35th ave and Dunlap...about 300 yards west of the intersection/south side...
Golden Cue at 35th and Camelback has some 12' snooker tables (a few guys play golf) but not much pool action...mostly kids....
Sixshooters used to have another room in the Mall at 75th and Thomas...not sure if it is still there...

i stayed in tempe for a couple weeks and found kolbys corner pocket on university dr. they had cheap table time and held tournys just about everyday. i think it was only 5 or 10 bucks to get in them with $200 going to 1st.

Hey BoBB, if you get the chance come on out to Kolbys in Tempe around noon. We are holding a 7 man ring 10-ball game with the boards own Jimmy M competing. All of the players in the game are top notch and there should be some great pool to watch.

Mike

I'll do my best to get out there, I've been to kolbys once, was a nice place but its so far from my house :(
