Pool halls in Tokyo...

I'm going to be in Tokyo for all of next week and I really want to play while out there.

Anyone know any pool halls in the Shimbashi/Ginza/Roppongi area where someone who knows absolutely zero Japanese can find a decent table to play 8/9ball on? Not looking for action, just some place to shoot around some balls and maybe find some people to play for some drinks...

Thanks,
Brian

I'm not too familiar with that area, but there is a large chain of pool halls in Tokyo called Bagus and there is basically one in (or near) every major area in the city. So it is pretty likely you'll at least have tables near by. My favorite place was in Shinjuku, it was called Sometime, nice staff, players, and equipment. Plus, it has a snooker table. One of the workers also took me to a tournament at a place called Jacks, but I can't remember what train stop it was.

I don't know if you are going to find people to play for drinks, but there is usually some kind of cheap action at most places (2000 yen a set or so).

Thanks, I'll see what I can find on Bagus.

The playing for drinks was a bit of tongue in cheek for just finding someone to shoot with :)

Thanks,
Brian
