Pool hustler rules poster.

Anybody got a picture of that old poster of the "rules for a pool hustler"? Or something like that?

It said something like "if you see 2 guys shaking hands, one of them is a sucker".

"Never give a sucker a fair rack".

Stuff like that.

I googled it and couldn't find it. I would see it in old pool rooms now and then.

A good rule

I remember one, and it might be the same one, that hung in my home away from home back in the 90's. It had a drawing/caricature of a guy standing there with a cue and it had something to the effect of "signs someone is a pool hustler." I remember one of them was that the guy would subconsciously make a bridge hand while having a conversation or something like that. I'd love to find a copy of it.

Yes! That's the one I'm thinking of. It felt like it was from the 1970s and had that 1970 caricature feel to it! Exactly.

It may very well have been from the 70's or early 80's. The room's owner's father owned Forest Park Billiards in Dayton Ohio where they used to hold The Dayton Open (Earl's first big tournament win happened there.) Very likely it came out of there.

I've worn Google out trying to find a copy of it with no luck at all.

It appears that he posted a picture he took of the framed poster. I did not immediately find a clean copy for sale.

The picture from the original post (below) is not ideal for a number of reasons. I briefly worked with it a bit, but it became clear that it would take too much time to get it back to pristine. Plus, because it was a picture taken of a framed poster, the aspect ratio is off a bit. If it were a clean shot, I probably would have gone a bit further.

I made an 8x10 high resolution JPG, but it's too large to post here. I reduced the JPG quality to get it so that it could be posted here.

The picture from the original thread is shown first, below, followed by the reduced quality JPG I worked on.
