Pool in Jacksonville Florida

Go across the river to Orange Park and play at Park Avenue Billiards. A beautiful new room with both Gold Crowns and Diamond Pro-Am tables. Best pool room in the area by far. A sports bar upstairs has some bar boxes too.

I have to agree with Randy, try Park Avenue Billiards in Orange Park. It's just south of I-295 on Park Avenue...directly behind the Sun Tire.

Park Ave. has more than a dozen 9' Diamond tables that came straight from the 2010 US Open, and are in a newly-renovated, very spacious location. The Diamonds play great, as most Diamonds do. They also have 15-20 Gold Crowns, the area's best players, and great food.

I only wish I lived closer...I'm across town near Atlantic Beach.

Agree, the new Park Av is great, and the Diamond tables do play outstanding.

There are also three other places I frequent:

- Riggsy's, which is off Baymeadows, older style pool hall but with 10 decent Brunswick Centennial tables, and can't beat the price ($3 an hour)

- Bankshots on Beach Blvd, where all the action used to be before it moved to Park Av's new location

- Q Ball, right up the street from Bankshots also on Beach, they are smoke free (or were at least the last time I was in there) and have decent Centennial tables as well

Heading to Park Av tonight for some practice, if you are heading that way look for me, there are a bunch of leagues going on the Brunswick tables so I'll probably be one of the few practicing on the Diamonds... Just look for the 40'ish looking bald guy, shouldn't be too many of us around... :)

If you can't make the drive to Orange Park, go to Riggsy's as Scott suggested. A nice older room. I used to play in a 9-ball league there until we moved to Park Avenue's new location.

I hope to make it tonight. I'm actually over in Ponte Vedra for work, without a car. Not really a bus or anything is there? I went to bank shots last night which was ok.

How is First Coast Billiards?

Again, thanks for the all the response.

Never been to First Coast.

If you are still in town, I'll be at Riggsy's tonight. Two pool nights in a row, a rarity for me... Just ask at the counter for me if you come.
