Pool League Software Needed

My league manager (and teammate) asked me if I could develop a spreadsheet (Excel) to track our league activities. I'm not one to re-invent the wheel and wondered if anybody knows of some good software to do this. I Googled for it and found quite a few. They all say that their product is great (why wouldn't they) but I'd like to hear from a 'hands on user' for some feedback. I'm currently playing in 2 leagues and I know both managers could benefit from this discussion. We're not BCA or APA but here's what I'd like to see:

1) Free
2) If not free, cheap
3) Capable of handling 30 teams of 15 players each
4) Scheduling capability
5) Team/Individual placement and averages
6) Payout calculator
7) Easy data entry

Thanks to anybody that responds.

Steve:

You might want to check out PoolLeaguesOfAmerica.com:

http://poolleaguesofamerica.com/

Click on the link, and you get a nice intro, with screenshots, etc. There's a free demo in the upper lefthand corner of the website.

If you like what you see, you can either use the contact info mentioned on the site itself, or else let me know (P.M.) and I'll hook you up with the masterminds behind this great system.

Hope this is helpful!

Thanks. Do you know how much the per-game fee is?

Steve:

Unfortunately, no. I'm just a player in a league that hosts their stats on that site (I don't have visibility into the back-end league costs).

But I can hook you up with the masterminds behind the site? Or else you can click on the contact information (if you prefer to go direct)?

Hi Steve,

Pool Leagues of America may be able to fulfill your needs- it covers all your requirements and then some. The site is free to use by all players to track scheduling, stats, etc. A small fee is charged when weekly stats are submitted.

We have a flexible pricing model. The cost varies from league to league, depending on the number of players & the type of league format. We work with each league individually to establish pricing that works for them. I'm not intending to be vague here; but as I'm sure you've seen, dues structures vary greatly from league to league. I've seen leagues make slight weekly dues adjustments to cover the cost of the system and then the rest of the funds stay in the league for payouts, banquets, etc.

I'd love to discuss your league further... Please drop me a PM with an email or phone number - I'm happy to give you a ring on my dime.
