I watch a fair amount of sports and I started noticing a few months ago how often pool is refered too in other sports. In hockey, when i guy has fanned on a shot i have hear 'He miscued on that one' dozens of times. A few others i have heard in golf ' ...he really put himself behind the eightball on his opening drive this hole', 'he looks to be hooked behind that tree there'... I just can't understand WHY WE DON"T GET MORE TV COVERAGE!! People are talking about it, i don't go a single day without seeing pool in a movie, tv ad, or sitcom... what the hell is missing to focus the attention from talking about it, to playing and watching it?

Pro football for YEARS has used "Run the Table" when discussing a team making the play-offs.
It's nothing new, believe me.

Tons of money for promotion.

Thats like saying 'The only reason i didnt run that table was because i missed.' Your stating the obvious, the real question is how do we get the recognition to entice corporate sponsorship.
