The pool they show on TV when they do show it, isn't the right way.......In my opinion! They show a match with Earl playing Bustamente and they have them playing 2 races to 5 alternating breaks.......???????? Then if they split they play one game. Why don't they take a few cameras to a big tournament. A few taping random matches on a shoulder camera........and 2 or 3 tables with a few different views ( for the markee players matches ). And this way they could show a pool in a more correct light. Show a guy putting 6 racks together.............or a saftey battle. Show more what the game is like rather than changing it to suit the TV. I believe people would be more interested if each show was devoted to one tournament this way. Maybe an hour long show on the US Open, or a 2 part show...:D Pool some how let my 2nd favorite game surpass it in the TV audience.........Poker! The World Poker Tour was ingenius! They have taken poker into primetime. Pool should take some lessons from The WPT!

The Billiard Club Network shows that will start next month on Satellite will be taken from Accu-Stats matches.

Expect strong commentary and more complete matches.

Count yourself lucky. In the Netherlands there is know TV coverage.

One channel has however taken on a brave step and bought the rights to air the coming world championships. The success of this will dependent on how our dutch players will perform.

Look out for my young friend Nick 'El Nino' van den Berg! He's got the looks and definetely the skills.

How can I get this Billard club network? I currently subscribe to charter cable?
 
Thanks Mike.......I will see what I can do about getting what I need to see that new channel. And hey FTI..........You don't know how bad it is to watch a Trick Shot Tournament, where one guys Best trick shot is to shoot 10 balls in a pocket real fast!.......Trust me the ruin it on TV. Except the Womens matchs aren't so bad.
 
I agree PTM. If I turn ESPN on one more time and see the same stupid trick shot show I'm gonna scream! How many times can you watch the same shots over and over again?

The *only* decent coverage seems to be the WPBA events and the occasional Men's 9-ball. The coverage of the last Mosconi cup was horrible, with the matches and games all chopped up.

7-ball is pretty much of a joke, not much more than 2 guys taking turns shooting. It would be nice to see some decent matches on TV. I don't think I will be able to get the new billiard channel. :(

They need more player input. Not sure how much pull Allen Hopkins has. But he needs to step up........cause he is involved. He needs to let them know how bad it is. As for the Trick Shot Tournaments............I like TrickShots, but put on a show......not this stuff they made up to look like a Tournament. AND 7 BALL!..........Don't get me started on 7 Ball! Glad I haven't seen that in a while....LOL
