Pool Player Finder by State. Post pool times

That's a very nice and user-friendly website. I like it a lot! :)

3 Different people posted pool times. Would love to get more people posted.
If you need a state added or even a different country, you can email me and I'll add it. http://www.snapboards.com/boards/poolplayerfinder

Any comments on what people think of this idea or how it could be improved. Seems like a good way to get an unoffical pool league going. I know I have trouble finding people to play Straight pool, one pocket, and even 9ball at times so I think this could really help. Most people I come across seem to gravitate towards 8ball. Nothing wrong with 8ball, but its probably my least favorite of the others i mentioned. 8ball is my strongest game too, go figure :).

Might want to add a regular weekly pool tournaments area.

The problem with this is that pool tournaments come and go. Even regional billiards publications have outdated lists of weekly tournaments.

So if you could have some sort of mechanism built in which requires periodic confirmation that the tournament is still running, that would be better.

So say have a confirmed active weekly tournaments area where someone has confirmed within the last year that the tournament is still being held.

Then have an unconfirmed tournaments area where a tournament listing would be moved to if no one has confirmed within the last year, that the tournament is still being held.

And require that each tournament listing *must* include; the game 8/9/14.1, etc., address, phone, city, state, and entry fee(s). (Some tournament are held once a month.)

People frequently call a pool hall or bar by a name which is not the same name used in the phone book. Or a pool hall will have multiple locations, so you call up one of the locations (if you can find the name in the phone book) and ask about their tournament. You get "I don't know about any tournament!". Then call another location and get "I don't know! Oh wait, we stopped having that tournament 2 years ago".

In one case I saw a weekly tournament listed in a regional pool publication - no phone number - no address - name not listed in phone book. Came to find out the pool hall changed its name 3 years ago and stopped having the tournament 2 years ago! (I did notify the regional publication that the tournament was no longer held.)

Or the pool hall is called a common name like "Pacific" and held in a large city and no address is listed for the tournament. So you try to find "Pacific" in the phone book and get 3 zillion businesses.
