There is no "Ex Calibur" when it comes to break cues.....that's just a fact...the stroke is what matters a whole lot more and of course, head ball contact.
Nonetheless, if someone believes a specific cue can make the difference, for that person it can make a difference in their confidence & approach.
Get this fellow the cue he wants and let's see what he does with it. If his game is as good as described, then he doesn't really need it.
But if in his mind it's the edge he needs, then give him the best chance possible to perform at his best. If the cue doesn't help his game, he'll still profit
from the experience and concentrate on that part of his game that needs improvement.
