Pool players who enter tournaments are just contestents

After thinking about it I came to the conclusion that when pool players enter a tournament they enter purely as contestants, nothing else. They are in no way to be considered employees of KT.

Whether it be the IPT, or the UPA or the WPA or the US Open they are nothing but contestants. As such they have no say in how anything is handled.

I wonder if the players have any rights at all to any profits that are made from the filming of the matches?

Of course I am just speculating.

I suspect that that is why the event has us sign waivers isn't it.
I haven't played in a big event in some years, but we used to sign waivers and that is what I always thought they were for.

Heck I once signed a marriage liscense down in Mexico.

In my own defense, when I went to 'boys town' in Juarez, I was looking for an orphanage and Spencer Tracy....

That is Omaha, not Juarez. How many times do you have to be told?
