Hey guys, I am new here but do have some major interests in the pool and billiards business. I saw that people were talking about a TV show based on pool in one form or another. Someone also pointed out that there is a large % of pool players in the U.S. This is true, the last numbers I got were 47,000,000 people are active players. The interest is there and could be done. However the majority of sponsors are not willing to put up the money to make it happen. The industry has a set standard for sponsorships and this has been working for all concerned but I believe that we are not going anywhere with it. I do need to say though that most of the people who currently sponsor most events don't really need to do it and do it for the good of the game. I have a few opportunities that I can follow to help the sport. I would like to know if there was two of the top players/ledgends in the world playing a money match how many of you would pay $7.00 to see it on internet PPV? Also How many would travel 200 mile to see it live? And the last one is if you were a business owner would you spend $300.00 to be a sponsor? I am asking these questions for a reason and if I can get some responses I will let you know why I am asking these questions. You will be amazed at my results so far.

You are wasting your time and ours. These questions have been asked and answered by the results of scores of tournaments not to mention the Action Report and the IPT thingee. What if 30 of 30 people here say yes they'd pay and travel- You think that means anything?

Like I said I'm new here. I havn't seen everything that has been said. But to answer your question, it would tell me how many people MAY do it. I understand that does not mean they will but the results will be a good idea of where we are. You obviously have no faith in the commitment and honesty of the rest of the pool and billiard community. I'm not sure if you are basing this on your own personal way of doing things or assuming that everyone is going to lie.

Frag, one last thing, by trying to promote and eleveate the sport I really don't think that is wasting anyones time. I'm really sorry that you feel that way, maybe I am just looking for answers from people who want to help.
